Our client is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Senior Sanitation Operations Manager to lead and optimize their cleaning and sanitation initiatives. This is a critical, fully remote role responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive sanitation strategies that ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety across all managed facilities. You will be instrumental in setting protocols, training virtual teams, and driving continuous improvement in sanitation practices. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of sanitation science, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency, coupled with exceptional leadership and project management skills. Your primary responsibilities will include developing and refining standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cleaning, disinfection, waste management, and pest control. You will also be responsible for sourcing and evaluating cleaning supplies and equipment, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential sanitation risks and implementing preventative measures. You will conduct regular virtual audits and inspections to ensure adherence to established protocols and identify areas for improvement. Furthermore, you will manage and mentor a dispersed team of sanitation supervisors and staff, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. Key qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Environmental Health, Public Health, Hospitality Management, or a related discipline. A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in sanitation management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, is essential. Proven experience in developing and implementing large-scale sanitation programs is required. Strong knowledge of industry best practices, health and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, local health codes), and environmental standards is a must. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are crucial for success in this remote leadership position. The ability to analyze data, generate reports, and present findings effectively to senior management is also required. You should be proficient in using project management software and collaboration tools to manage remote teams and projects.
