Senior Talend Developer

This position is with one of our clients in India, who is actively hiring candidates to expand their teams. Role We are looking for an experienced Senior / Lead Talend Developer to design, develop, and manage end-to-end data integration solutions using the Talend platform. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in ETL development, data warehousing concepts, production support, and the ability to lead technical discussions and guide junior team members. Responsibilities • Design, develop, and implement ETL/ELT pipelines using Talend (DI, Cloud, Big Data, ESB as applicable). • Lead data integration projects involving multiple source systems such as databases, flat files, APIs, and cloud platforms. • Perform data extraction, transformation, validation, and loading into target systems including data warehouses. • Optimize Talend jobs for performance, scalability, and reliability. • Handle production deployments, job scheduling, and monitoring using TAC/TMC. • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive fixes. • Collaborate with business stakeholders, data architects, and QA teams to gather and translate requirements. • Perform code reviews, enforce ETL best practices, and mentor junior developers. • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, mapping documents, and deployment artifacts. • Support data migration and modernization initiatives from legacy systems to modern platforms. • Ensure compliance with data quality, security, and governance standards. Required Skills • Strong hands-on experience with Talend Data Integration / Talend Cloud / Talend Big Data. • Expertise in ETL concepts and data warehousing fundamentals. • Proficient in SQL (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL). • Experience with TAC/TMC for scheduling, deployment, and monitoring. • Strong understanding of Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Fact & Dimension tables. • Experience with performance tuning and error handling in ETL jobs. • Familiarity with Unix/Linux commands. • Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills. Preferred Skills • Exposure to cloud data platforms (Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, GCP BigQuery). • Experience with API integration (REST/SOAP, JSON/XML). • Knowledge of CI/CD and version control (Git, Bitbucket, SVN). • Experience in data migration projects. • Basic scripting or programming knowledge (Java / Python). • Prior experience in leading or mentoring teams.
