A day in the life. As a Senior Product Owner on the MMA Application Development team, you will define and prioritize features for essential applications that enhance colleague and client experiences. Collaborating with stakeholders, you will gather requirements and refine the product roadmap while working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a shared understanding of product needs. Utilizing Agile methodologies, you will participate in sprint planning and backlog grooming, communicate product updates, manage expectations, and gather feedback to drive continuous improvement, all while applying your analytical skills to uphold MMA's technology standards throughout the software development life cycle. We’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills: • Review and align the product roadmap with the organization’s strategic goals and objectives. • Collaborate with stakeholders, including business users and executives, to gather feedback, prioritize features, and refine the product roadmap. • Conduct meetings to gather requirements for new features or enhancements to existing applications. • Analyze user needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape to identify opportunities for product improvements and innovation. • Engage with cross-functional teams, including designers and developers, to ensure a shared understanding of product requirements and priorities. • Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members to drive efficient product development. • Participate in Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning and backlog grooming, to provide guidance and prioritize product features. • Work with the development team to ensure user stories are well-defined, estimated, and aligned with the product vision. • Communicate product updates, progress, and timelines to stakeholders, including executives and end-users. • Address stakeholder concerns, gather feedback, and manage expectations to ensure alignment between product strategies and business objectives. • Monitor product adoption and gather user feedback to drive continuous improvement and enhance the user experience. • You will provide coaching and support to other Technology Product Owners ensuring that they operate well as a team and foster a culture of ownership and respect. • You may be asked to be a line manager to 1 or more Technology Product Owners. Technical skills or qualifications required: • Experience of a wide range of Technology roles is desirable, ideally with some form of development engineering background. • Rounded and holistic understanding of Agile Methodologies. • Excellent stakeholder management skills. • Insurance Functional domain knowledge and experience of managing related products.
