Job Opportunity: Senior Web Developer Colby is on the lookout for an experienced Senior Web Developer with a robust background in cutting-edge web architecture, API integrations, and the design of high-performance applications. This position is centered around creating fast, scalable, and user-friendly web applications utilizing and Supabase, prioritizing optimization, minimal latency, and immediate user interactions. In this role, you will take charge of designing, building, and enhancing systems that are not only operationally sound but also exceptionally efficient. We seek a developer who thinks in terms of milliseconds and intuitively understands performance hurdles, with a commitment to delivering swift and reliable software solutions. This is a hands-on role tailored for a proactive developer who can tackle complex problems autonomously, prioritize effectively, and enhance systems continuously with minimal oversight. Key Responsibilities: • Design and implement high-performance web applications leveraging Supabase • Optimize both frontend and backend systems for speed, scalability, and robustness. • Integrate various APIs, including payment gateways like Stripe and OAuth authentication systems. • Architect and oversee Supabase infrastructure, including database management, authentication, and realtime services. • Implement secure authentication processes, session management, and access controls. • Develop realtime features using Supabase Realtime APIs. • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, enhancing load times and overall system responsiveness. • Write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code in line with modern best practices. • Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and performance monitoring of applications. • Collaborate with product and design teams to convert requirements into effective technical solutions. • Maintain and manage CMS integrations (e.g., Netlify CMS) as necessary. • Suggest enhancements for architecture, tools, and development workflows. Required Skills & Experience: • Extensive experience in building production-quality web applications. • Strong expertise in React, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript. • Proven track record with Supabase or similar backend-as-a-service solutions. • In-depth knowledge of API architecture and integrations. • Practical experience with the Stripe API and payment processing systems. • Solid grasp of OAuth and secure authentication protocols. • Strong skills in database optimization and query performance. • Ability to identify and address performance issues across the technology stack. • Excellent problem-solving skills and a self-motivated work approach.
