Job Summary: Amazon is seeking a meticulous and proactive Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our logistics and supply chain team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring the accuracy of goods received and dispatched, and supporting inventory management. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and play a critical role in maintaining the smooth operation of our supply chain processes. Key Responsibilities: • * Shipping and Receiving: Accurately receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying item counts, quality, and documentation. Process outgoing shipments, ensuring they are properly packed, labeled, and prepared for dispatch. • * Inventory Management: Assist in inventory control and stock organization to maintain accurate stock levels. Conduct regular cycle counts and support the maintenance of inventory records. • * Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate shipping and receiving logs. Generate reports and ensure all necessary documentation is completed in a timely manner. • * Quality Control: Ensure that all goods received meet Amazons quality standards. Report discrepancies and damages to the appropriate department. • * Coordination: Work closely with warehouse associates, managers, and third-party vendors to ensure smooth coordination of shipments and materials. • * Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Participate in safety training and ensure compliance with all relevant policies. Required Skills and Qualifications: • * Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks without compromising accuracy. • * Organizational Skills: Ability to efficiently organize and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. • * Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members and external partners. • * Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to shipping, receiving, and inventory discrepancies. • * Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and move heavy packages and products as required. • * Technical Skills: Proficiency in using basic computer systems, inventory management software, and barcode scanners. • * Forklift Operation: Certification or willingness to obtain forklift certification may be required. Experience: • * Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is preferred but not mandatory. • * Experience with logistics and inventory management systems is a plus. • * Familiarity with handling shipping and receiving documentation and packaging standards. Working Hours: • * Full-time position with flexible shift options, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed based on operational requirements. • * Expectation of consistent punctuality and flexibility to work during peak demand periods. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • * In-depth understanding of shipping, receiving, and inventory processes within the logistics and supply chain industry. • * Ability to troubleshoot and resolve shipping and receiving issues efficiently. • * Strong computer skills with the ability to learn and utilize Amazons internal systems and inventory management tools.
