In one sentence The Software Asset Management Analyst will manage and optimize Amdocs’ software assets throughout their lifecycle. This role ensures compliance with licensing agreements, minimizes risk, and drives cost efficiency by maintaining accurate software inventory and usage data. The analyst will collaborate with procurement, IT operations, and vendors to support governance and strategic decision-making. What will your job look like? • Maintain and update the software asset inventory in SAM tools (ServiceNow, Flexera). • Monitor software usage and compliance with licensing agreements. • Perform software compliance checks and manage software removal processes. • Handle software-related requests and interact with end-users to resolve queries. • Analyze software consumption data to identify optimization opportunities and cost savings. • Assist in audits and ensure adherence to vendor licensing terms. • Collaborate with procurement and finance teams for renewals and true-ups. • Develop and maintain SAM processes, policies, and documentation. • Provide reporting and insights to stakeholders on software utilization and compliance. • Support risk mitigation by identifying unauthorized or unlicensed software. All you need is... Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications (BCA), IT, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). • 3+ years of experience in Software Asset Management or IT Asset Management. • Familiarity with SAM tools (ServiceNow, Flexera). • Strong understanding of software licensing models (Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, etc.). • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal). • Proficiency in basic AI tools for productivity and analysis. • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work effectively as a team player. Preferred Qualifications • Previous experience in a global company, especially in technologically advanced industries. • Experience in fraud investigation or auditing (an advantage). • ITIL Foundation or SAM certification (e.g., IAITAM CSAM). • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
