A Day in Your Life at MKS: The Sourcing Specialist, IM&S India, will play a pivotal role in driving cost efficiencies and optimizing procurement strategies across multiple categories, including vendor consolidation initiatives across India. You Will Make an Impact By: Savings and Cost Optimization: • Lead cost-saving initiatives the assigned categories in India • Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to achieve significant savings without compromising on quality or service levels. • Regularly analyze market trends and spend data to identify new savings opportunities. Vendor Consolidation and Management: • Drive vendor consolidation projects across India to streamline the supply base and leverage volume. • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts and agreements to secure advantageous terms. • Evaluate vendor performance and compliance, ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs). Category Management: • Manage and optimize the procurement of indirect materials and services, across India • Conduct comprehensive category reviews and develop category-specific strategies. • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure alignment with business objectives. Stakeholder Engagement: • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and operational site management to align sourcing strategies with broader business goals. • Serve as a subject matter expert for the assigned categories • Collaborate regularly with stakeholders to report on progress, savings, and challenges. Skills You Bring: • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field. • Over 10 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on indirect materials and services. • Proven track record of generating significant savings in procurement. • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities. • Fluent in English, with additional Indian languages being advantageous.
