Organizational Overview Credit Team decisions credit actions across the lifecycle of a customer – from acquisition to account management to collections and recover – we work towards managing credit and fraud losses and elevating customer experience through powerful and proprietary insights on customer risk and credit behaviors. Role Summary/Purpose Sr. Analyst – Data science role is a part of Credit. Our team comprises of data analysts who focus on improving best fraud/account management/credit/ collection process experience etc. and growth by providing full stack descriptive to prescriptive analytics via cutting edge technologies to support business objectives. Key Responsibilities • Analyze and explore datasets to find opportunities for fraud / credit / Marketing models through data analytics. • Support the development of the Analytics Platform initiative. • Solve business problem with Statistical, Machine Learning techniques. • Responsible for delivery of various engagements of model development, documentation, validation, testing, monitoring and other organization wide initiatives. • Support the model risk management process including model validation, response to independent review questions and assisting in the development of action plans to address model governance/validation findings. Required Skills/Knowledge • Bachelor degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or another quantitative field with 1+ years of hands-on Analytics experience (Distance learning not valid) or in lieu of a degree with 3+ years of experience required. • Strong Programming skills (SQL, SAS/ Python). Work Timings This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility and Choice offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time – 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or another quantitative field
• 1+ years of Analytics experience
