Just Walk Out Services is seeking a Sr Manager, Tech Deployment Program Management. As a leader on the team, you will be expected to operate at all levels, diving deep into the details while providing strategic inputs for the product. You will be a key player in driving strategic planning, project execution, hiring and development of program management talent, and helping to shape the team as our Physical Stores program expands. Tech Deployment for Physical Stores is widely scoped - it means being responsible for technical execution and cross-functional project management. This role requires a blend of strong leadership, technical acumen and operational execution. These projects need to be delivered while cultivating a high degree of ownership in the resolution of technical and operational issues. This role requires the development of relationships with a wide group of stakeholders, including the management of external partners to reach project objectives. A successful candidate will play an integral role in determining strategy, resources, features, schedules, and process for cross-company projects. They operate with significant autonomy, and demonstrate creativity and judgement when confronted with complex issues. You must have strong written and verbal communications skills, as well as an entrepreneurial spirit, the ability to influence others and dive deep, and a passion for technology. Key job responsibilities - Lead a team of program managers responsible for the technical deployment of Just Walk Out Physical Stores. - Lead the management of projects and effectively influence, negotiate, and communicate with our technical development teams, our business stakeholders, contractors and vendors. - Responsible for overall project delivery. - Establish and maintain project schedules, and perform risk management to minimize impact to the project critical path. - Serve as a direct partner to our design, construction and business teams to deliver project objectives. - Help drive continuous improvement efforts. A day in the life In this role you will be working on challenging problems that need creative solutions. You should be comfortable building process and challenging assumptions. The Tech Deployment Program Manager role is broad, from ensuring all our AWS services are brought up from partner teams, to management of the physical installation of our Just Walk Out technology, installed by our engineers and technicians. You will report on store bring-up progress and work closely with our key stakeholders. You’ll partner with our global teams to bring up the stores and you’ll have a huge opportunity to influence processes and mechanisms to make improvements for our customers. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience - Experience directly working with engineering teams - Experience leading cross-functional projects and managing large, complicated programs - Experience conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences - Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience working with customers with a passion for delivering exceptional service and experience in managing and troubleshooting network - Experience in written and verbal communication skills to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership - Experience building and managing teams - Experience as a manager with a track record of success - Experience in managing and troubleshooting network, or experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities - Experience in driving end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership Preferred Qualifications - Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization - 3+ years of program or project management experience, or PMP certificate - Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines, or experience with end-to-end project management Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
