Role Overview We are seeking an experienced and driven Sr. Software Engineer with 5 years of full-stack development experience (MERN + Python) and a proven ability to lead small, agile teams. You’ll take end-to-end ownership of product development — from architecture and design to delivery and deployment — while mentoring engineers and driving technical excellence. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment and enjoys solving complex problems with clean, scalable solutions. Key Responsibilities ● Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of developers, ensuring best practices in design, architecture, and coding standards. ● End-to-End Development Ownership: Oversee full lifecycle of product development — architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance. ● Hands-On Development: Contribute directly to the codebase using MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js) and Python (Flask or FastAPI). ● System Architecture & Scalability: Design and optimize system architecture for high performance, scalability, and reliability. ● Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with founders, product managers, and designers to translate business needs into technical solutions. ● Process & Quality Management: Drive code reviews, CI/CD practices, documentation, and ensure clean, maintainable code. ● Innovation & Improvement: Stay current with emerging technologies and continuously identify opportunities for process or tech stack enhancement. Qualifications ● 5 years of software development experience, with at least 2+ years in a lead or managerial role. ● Strong expertise in MERN Stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js) and Python (Flask or FastAPI preferred). ● Experience designing scalable microservices and RESTful APIs. ● Solid understanding of databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL/MySQL) and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure). ● Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines. ● Proven ability to lead teams, manage project timelines, and deliver quality software in startup environments. ● Excellent problem-solving skills (LeetCode/HackerRank-level logical thinking) and an ownership mindset.
