Role Overview: As a Staff Software Engineer (Front End) at Agoda, you will play a crucial role in the product development team, focusing on building, designing, and optimizing user interfaces to engage users with visually appealing and highly functional web applications. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure seamless application functionality and deliver high-quality products. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with Product, Product Design, and Engineering teams to construct and deliver high-quality web products. - Lead by example in writing quality code that meets requirements and aligns with architectural and front-end coding standards. - Optimize applications using best practices for performance and propose necessary upgrades and updates for modern security and development practices. - Contribute to shared component libraries by building modular and reusable components. - Architect reliable, performant, and scalable web solutions while identifying areas for improvement and driving web best practices. - Provide mentorship to junior team members and share knowledge with the broader team. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 8 years of front-end development experience with client-side frameworks, preferably React. - Strong proficiency in JavaScript and the TypeScript ecosystem. - Experience working with component libraries and a passion for client-side performance optimization. - Demonstrated ability to drive changes and impact across teams through architecture skills. - Experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript libraries and tooling (e.g., VueJS, AngularJS) is a plus. - Proficiency in modern coding and design practices such as Clean Code, SOLID principles, and TDD.
