For more information, visit the Future of AI & Why This Role Matters We are looking for a highly analytical and action-oriented Strategic Finance Assistant Manager to partner closely with both Finance and Business teams. In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping business decisions by driving strategic financial initiatives, evaluating business performance, and ensuring accurate financial insights. You will work directly with the VP of Strategic Finance, acting as the strategic bridge between business operations and financial planning—ensuring that every decision is grounded in strong financial reasoning. How You’ll Make an Impact • Deliver Clear Financial Insights: Drive monthly/weekly financial reporting, analyze variances vs. forecast/budget, and provide actionable recommendations. • Strengthen Forecasting & Planning: Support and refine financial forecasts, lead annual budgeting, and ensure alignment through monthly, quarterly, and annual planning cycles. • Lead Month-End Close: Manage payroll accruals, variance analysis, cash flow updates, GL scrutiny, and cost centre/headcount reviews with accuracy and timeliness. • Drive Performance & ROI: Monitor KPIs, uncover root causes of deviations, build ROI narratives for key decisions, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability. • Support Strategic Initiatives: Partner with Strategic Finance to evaluate opportunities/risks and provide insights that enhance business performance. • Own Business Drivers & Metrics: Lead the measurement, forecasting, and reporting of key business drivers—acting as the single source of truth for financial metrics. • Enhance Efficiency Through Automation: Identify automation opportunities to improve processes and enable data-driven decision making. • Provide Strategic Analytical Support: Deliver ad-hoc analysis, benchmark performance against competitors, and support the development of KPIs that guide business strategy. • Collaborate Across Teams: Build strong cross-functional relationships and partner closely with business teams to improve operational and financial metrics. Skills & Experience You Bring to the Table • Educational Foundation: Master’s in Finance / MBA or equivalent from a top Tier-1 institution, with 3–5 years of relevant experience in FP&A, Business Finance, Strategy, or Deal Advisory, preferably gained within Investment Banking, Big 4, or top-tier consulting firms. • Financial Expertise: Understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and core FP&A concepts (good to have). • Tool Proficiency: Hands-on experience with FP&A/CPM/EPM tools such as Adaptive, Planful, Anaplan, etc. (good to -have). • Analytical & Technical Skills: Exceptional Excel and financial modeling capabilities along with strong PowerPoint skills (non-negotiable). • Industry Advantage: Prior experience in the SaaS industry is preferred. • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication, stakeholder management, interpersonal skills, and a strong team-player mindset.
