Supply Chain Analyst

Our client, a global leader in manufacturing and distribution, is seeking a meticulous and analytical Supply Chain Analyst to join their fully remote procurement and logistics team. This role is integral to optimizing the flow of goods from sourcing to final delivery, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness across the supply chain. You will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets, identifying trends, forecasting demand, and recommending strategic improvements to inventory management, logistics, and supplier performance. Responsibilities: - Analyze supply chain data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for cost reduction. - Develop demand forecasts and inventory management strategies to ensure optimal stock levels. - Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain operations, including lead times, transportation costs, and inventory turnover. - Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and operations teams to implement supply chain improvements. - Evaluate and recommend improvements to supplier performance and relationships. - Utilize supply chain planning and optimization software to model scenarios and support decision-making. - Prepare regular reports and presentations on supply chain performance and project updates for management. - Identify and assess risks within the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies. - Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in supply chain management. - Support cross-functional teams in implementing new supply chain initiatives. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain analysis, logistics, or procurement. - Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel (advanced), SQL, and business intelligence platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). - Experience with supply chain management software (SCM) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. - Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment. - Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy. - Familiarity with forecasting techniques and inventory optimization models. - APICS or similar supply chain certification is a plus.
