Job Description Key Responsibilities Lead the Supply Chain Function: Oversee the complete supply chain lifecycle — procurement, sourcing, inventory, logistics, and vendor development — to ensure operational excellence. Strategic Sourcing: Design and implement sourcing strategies tailored to Defence and Aerospace requirements, ensuring cost efficiency and timely delivery. Vendor Development: Build and sustain strong partnerships with local and national vendors, fostering long-term collaboration and reliability. Cross-Functional Coordination: Align supply chain operations with production, quality, and project teams to support on-time project execution. Compliance & Governance: Ensure full adherence to Defence and Aerospace procurement regulations, documentation standards, and quality protocols. Process Optimization: Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen supply chain efficiency, reduce lead times, and improve cost effectiveness. Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor SCM teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation. Operational Oversight: Monitor supply chain KPIs and provide actionable insights to the leadership team for informed decision-making. Required Experience & Qualifications Minimum 12–15 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, with a significant portion in Defence and Aerospace manufacturing or related industries. Demonstrated success in procurement and vendor management within regulated environments. Proven track record of stability and leadership, with an average tenure of 4+ years per organization. Strong understanding of Defence procurement policies, standards, and compliances. Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Willingness to relocate to NCR/Gurugram and travel frequently to plants and vendor locations.
