Technical Program Manager

About the job

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish using your technical expertise. You will collaborate with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, and identify risks while effectively communicating with cross-functional partners. Your responsibilities will include explaining team analyses and recommendations to executives and discussing technical tradeoffs with engineers. Responsibilities: - Create, define, and improve processes for engaging with first-party and third-party developers, conveying critical information about new Android features, behavior changes, and compatibility requirements. - Own and deliver the comprehensive Plan of Record (POR) for developer outreach, serving as a guide for all Google and Android teams communicating with developers. - Identify inefficiencies and gaps in current Android app compatibility testing and tooling, and design innovative solutions to streamline workflows, enhance automation, data collection, and reporting. - Advocate for implementing solutions to leverage AI/ML for testing, cost-saving, and improving bug triage processes. - Collaborate with Android Engineering, Product Management, and Developer Relations teams to understand new features, address compatibility challenges, and contribute to testing strategies and tools development. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. - 2 years of experience in program management or a related technical role. - Experience in Android Apps and Development and Developer tools. - Experience working with software development teams and understanding the software development life-cycle. - Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
