Description Role Overview : We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager with strong hands-on exposure to Databricks and Data Engineering projects to manage end-to-end delivery in a client-facing environment. The ideal candidate will bridge business and technical teams, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery of complex data initiatives. Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of data engineering and analytics projects from planning to closure • Drive project execution using Agile / Scrum methodologies • Manage Databricks-based data engineering solutions across cloud platforms • Coordinate with data engineers, architects, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders • Define project scope, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables • Track and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests • Ensure adherence to delivery governance, quality standards, and best practices • Conduct client interactions, status reviews, and steering committee meetings • Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and dashboards • Ensure successful delivery of ETL pipelines, data ingestion, transformation, and analytics solutions • Manage resource allocation, capacity planning, and team performance • Ensure compliance with security, data governance, and cloud best practices Technical Skills Required • Strong experience managing Data Engineering / Analytics projects • Hands-on exposure to Databricks • Apache Spark • Big Data ecosystems • Experience with ETL processes, data pipelines, and data warehousing • Cloud platforms : • AWS / Azure / GCP (at least one) • Understanding of : • Data lakes, lakehouse architecture • Batch and streaming data processing • Familiarity with DevOps / CI-CD pipelines is a plus Project & Delivery Skills • Proven experience in Agile / Scrum project management • Strong knowledge of : • Sprint planning • Backlog grooming • Daily stand-ups • Sprint reviews & retrospectives • Experience with project management tools such as : • Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, MS Project, or similar • Excellent risk management, dependency tracking, and issue resolution skills Stakeholder & Leadership Skills • Strong stakeholder management and client-facing experience • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders • Proven leadership skills to guide cross-functional teams • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in parallel Good To Have • Background in data platforms or big data technologies • Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, or MLOps • Experience working with global or enterprise clients • Prior experience in consulting or system integration environments Educational Qualifications • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field • PMP / Scrum Master / Agile certifications are an added advantage.
