Role Summary: Seeking a US Tax Senior with focused experience in High Net-Worth Individual (HNI) and Trust taxation. The role involves preparation, review, and compliance management of complex US individual, fiduciary, and international tax filings. The candidate must demonstrate technical depth in partnership reporting, foreign disclosures, and multi-state taxation. Key Responsibilities • Prepare and review Form 1040 (HNI Individuals) and complex individual returns. • Prepare and review Form 1041 (Trust Returns), including DNI calculations and fiduciary accounting concepts (UPAIA, Unitrusts). • Prepare and review Schedule K-1 allocations for partnerships and trusts. • Work on international tax concepts such as GILTI, BEAT, and foreign tax credits (Form 1116). • Assist in resolution of IRS notices and compliance queries. • Ensure timely filing of resident and partner K-1 returns. • Maintain documentation standards and regulatory compliance. • Analyse and review LP/GP structures and partnership allocation mechanics for tax reporting accuracy. • Review LLP structures and assess related tax treatment and compliance requirements. • Apply check-the-box regulations and entity classification rules in client engagements. • Review and apply grantor trust rules in preparation and compliance of fiduciary returns. • Support onshore and offshore taxation matters, including cross-border structuring and reporting. • Exposure to Canadian tax considerations in cross-border scenarios will be an added advantage. Required Skills & Experience • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field. • 3-5 years of experience in US Taxation focussed on High Net-Worth Individual (HNI) and Trust taxation • Candidate must have strong technical expertise in partnership and entity structures, including LP/GP structures, partnership allocation mechanics, LLP structures, and check-the-box regulations with entity classification rules. • Candidate must have in-depth knowledge of grantor trust rules, related reporting requirements, and experience in onshore and offshore taxation practices including cross-border reporting; knowledge of Canadian taxation will be an added advantage. • Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to manage multiple clients, tasks, and deadlines simultaneously. • Proficiency with Excel, Google Sheets, and CRM/task management tools. • High level of ownership, responsiveness, and attention to detail.
